Blessing Of The Fleet

Father Tom of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church leads the Blessing Of The Fleet, hosted by the USCG Sycamore.

Join local Cordova pastors of many faiths, USCG Sycamore command and crew, commercial fishermen, and fellow Cordovan’s on board the Sycamore for the 2018 blessing of the fleet. All are welcome regardless of background or spiritual affiliation. Come as you are.

If you are a vessel owner, Father Tom encourages you to drive by the cutter soon after 10 a.m. to have holy water sprinkled on your vessel during the blessing that will be delivered over the radio. Tune to Marine VHF Channel 16 to listen to the ceremony.
