Cordova Business Empowerment Summit:
November 18th, 4:00-9:00pm
November 19th, 10:30am -5:00pm + evening social networking event
Cordova Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce our inaugural Bussiness Empowerment Summit at the Cordova Center this November 18th & 19th. This summit aims to facilitate a gathering of Cordova business leaders and provide them with education and guidance to uplevel their organization on multiple fronts. Including vital resources to our business community, the two-day event in November will be followed by a second session in April. Ticket sales for Cordova Chamber’s Business Empowerment Summit will open at the Visitor Center/Chamber offices on November 1st and include a 2023 Chamber membership. All classes will be offered in person and virtually, with recordings available.
The chamber has developed a new membership structure that will complement this event, allowing members to pick from a plethora of in-person business classes being held at the two Business Empowerment Summits in November and April or virtually on-demand and choose the promotion and advertising options that will most benefit their business or organization. This new membership structure also opens up some of our most coveted benefits to ALL members! These changes are a direct result of the Chamber’s member satisfaction survey and a response to the needs expressed by the business community. Cordova Chamber’s Business Empowerment Summit is a keystone element of this new membership investment program, and each 2023 Chamber membership includes entrance into the Summit.
“Our intention is to build capacity for Cordova’s current and future leaders to catalyze growth and encourage collaboration within our talented community”, said Cathy Renfeldt, the Executive Director of the Chamber. A combination of local and Alaskan experts are slotted to present at the Chamber’s Business Empowerment Summit, providing actionable and hands-on guidance to increase local business acumen. “We believe an empowered leader grows empowered organizations, and we want to be the kindling to their fire! This event has the capacity to boost our local economy, bolster our workforce, and give our business leaders the confidence to grow.” said Events and Member Services Coordinator, Karen Deaton Perry.
