John Muir Laws is an award winning naturalist, educator, and artist. His guide to Nature Journaling is considered an important and valuable reference for those interested in learning the fundamentals of nature journaling. The lessons in the text teach basic principals with a primary goal of encouraging one to move through the world with curiosity and joy.

The Net Loft will be hosting an extensive and in depth six month Nature Journaling Book Study Group beginning October 2, from 1-3 pm, in order to give focused attention to working through the text methodically and systematically. We will meet once a month through the end of April 2023 as a community of nature journalists in group sharing sessions, to review our individual progress in skill development and for group encouragement and interaction.

The Net Loft will be hosting a weekend of live workshops with John Muir Laws for the Copper River Delta Shorebird Festival in May 2023, where we will have an opportunity to meet JohnMuir (Jack) Laws in person and participate in his nature journaling workshops face to face. Whether or not you are able to attend the festival, these lessons will help provide training and instruction to enhance your observation and perception and in turn, appreciation of the world around you.
