The Chugach Regional Resources Commission (CRRC) would like to formally invite the Community of Cordova to a workshop we are hosting in November. CRRC has invited specialists from ADFG Division of Subsistence (Jackie Keating, Caroline Brown, and Dave Koster) as well as from the Marine Mammal Program (Mike Rehberg), and Dr. Henry Huntington, an international-wide renowned independent researcher who specifically documents and examines Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) of marine mammals. The overarching goal of this workshop is to design and implement a replicable approach to obtaining traditional knowledge from village communities, that can be used for scientific conservation and sustainable management strategies for State, and Federal agencies.

November 15th will be a meet and greet with CRRC staff to learn about our organization, divisions and programs. The next day, Wednesday the 16th, there will be multiple presentations from specialist, and time to share stories on marine mammals and climate change happening in our region.Chugach Imaq Project Flyer
