WILD FOOD FEAST RECIPE SWAP

Welcome to the Virtual Wild Food Feast Recipe Swap!

Due to COVID-19, we are unable to host our annual Wild Food Feast and Film Festival Membership events, but we know many of you look forward to these events every year. Maybe you had already started practicing your dish or developing your unique recipe. With everyone (we hope you are doing your part to flatten the curve!) spending a lot of time at home in social isolation, it is the perfect time to dig into the freezer, get your creative juices flowing, and come up with your unique wild foods dish or to try out that recipe that you have been wanting to try. In the spirit of keeping the tradition of cooking your best wild food dishes alive and as a fun social distancing activity we are hosting the virtual Wild Food Feast recipe swap! Because this is a virtual event we are opening up participation to everyone everywhere who shares in the spirit of harvesting local foods.

The categories will remain the same: Dishes made with ingredients that walked, swam, flew, or grew in the great out of doors and were harvested in your local area. The only rule is that the showcase ingredient in your dish can not come from the traditional brick and mortar store. Rather, let the great out of doors be your grocery store!

Prizes will be awarded. But since we cannot taste your special creation, every dish will be entered into a drawing for its respective category. The CRWP board and staff will vote for the Best in Show Recipe. To enter the contest recipe submissions must be received by Friday May 15, 2020.
